MAKING CONTACT

Becoming a member of the Franciscan Third Order community offers you the opportunity to develop your spirituality as a Franciscan Christian with the support of others on the same journey. Tertiaries belong to Regions, each with a Regional Minister who has responsibility for pastoral care and administration.  These regions range in geographical size from half of NSW to the whole of Western Australia. To help connect tertiaries more locally, regions may be divided into smaller Area Fellowships.

The process of becoming a Tertiary takes a several years. The discernment requires you to think and pray seriously about your Christian journey and the direction God is asking you to take. Similarly, the Third Order community undertakes a process of discerning whether the community is right for you.

More information about this process is on the Formation page.

The first step is to make contact with the Regional Minister closest to you, which can be done via the contacts page.
